Previously: unforgettable moments. This episode: big group of visitors. Sunshine continued. Our team members went on with their work after breakfast (bread, hot chocolade, coffee, tea).



The fire wood project has good results: 4,176 cubic meters of chopped fire wood in the upper storage room, plus lots of sawed wood waiting to be processed further. Pete and Marcus nailed down the floor downstairs.



Marcus and Tuomas went on with eletric work - it never ends.
We had lunch outside: pea soup, cheese and bread, dessert: pancake with strawberry jam and whipped cream. I have no words left to describe our pure and sincere happiness about Aira´s meal service.
Around 1.40 pm we spotted the The National Boarder Guard's boat but it turned back...Just checking on us or our visitors?

Tourists arrived at 1.30 pm. Tuomas had closed and locked the gate of the old stairs prior to their arrival so the visitors could not use them.



Mats brought 12 tourists by his boat m/s Sefyr. Lena and Marcus gave guided tours (one in Finnish and one in Swedish). Visitors stayed for two hours and toured the lighthouse, shop and afterwards had coffee outside.



And of course they walked around the island and were able to see the seals sleeping on the nearby islets. One man even swam over to get a closer look of the seals and one seal did actually swim very close to greet him. At this point the man decided it was best to turn back.

After the visitors had left our team decided it was time to cross the border and have a picnic in Sweden. Aira´s catering was excellent: no surprise there (bread baked in Märket, apple pie with custard). Lena imitated seals by movement and sound. She managed to do it so well that the seals replied. Which was nice.



Statistics of the day: air + 18 degrees Celsius, water + 23,4 degrees in Modersmagen. Surpise of the day: at 8 pm water scooter messenger arrived to pick up a backpack left over by a tourist.



Total: work, visitors, sunshine, good food and one surpise. So basically, to sum it all up: cheesy peas and another day in paradise.
