Thursday morning started with sun and there was no wind at all.
Yesterday evening we had some sausages by the fire and enjoyed the beautiful sunset. We also saw the moon quite correctly through Retu's fieldscope. In the morning we had breakfast and started to orientate for today's volunteer work.
Jussi and Pekka finished the prime piling on the roof and the roof was finished for today. The drying will take 24 hrs and tomorrow the guys will continue piling for the second time.
Harri and Retu cleaned the storage room together.
Elisa and Kati made the filling for the "kitchen-to-be"-walls and Retu did the rasping of the "dinner-to-be"- room's ceiling, which was hard work.
Mika and Tuula made some peasoup and pancakes with strawberry jam, as we normally eat in Finland on Thursdays. Everyone was happy with the pancakes. The food, in general, tastes much better here by the sea than normally at home. And by the way, we've had so tasty food here that people are having hard time getting back home.
The girls decided to do some shopping today. Many of us have thought of buying some souvenirs from the lighthouse shop. Tuula is responsible for accounting to Lighthouse Society, and we decided to do shopping together at the same time. That was the highlight of the day, in a very girly way...
Tonight there were some seals on the rocks again and we got some nice photos.
