We witnessed a great thunder and lightning over the sea last night. It was gone by morning, but wind was blowing heavily and waves were big. It was blowing from north, but waves surrounded the whole island.
After breakfest and sending a shopping list to Pekka, it was time to start working again. Some of the things that happened: Mikko emptied toilet again, and after that he was measuring something (don't ask us what:-) in the wine cellar. During the day, Marcus was working with the electricity, and Tuomas & Mikko chopped some firewood (Sari then gathered chopped wood into the stack). Annukka organized dishing & heated warm water, and after lunch Maria & Annukka painted the living room door at 1. floor.
Waves around Märket were looking so great, that before making lunch, women took a break and walked in the cliffs and took pictures. It was interesting to observe, how different waves looked and also acted depending on what side of the island you were - anyway, they were beatiful, even though this was nothing compared to real storm here in Märket. One question still arised: Are Pekka and our eight 'tourists' able to come here with Mats's boat in the evening?
Beacuse we thought that this would be a last evening for Lotta and Tuomas here, we wanted to take a picture together in the cliff so, that Lotta takes a photo from the lanternin. So there we laid on the warm cliff holding each others hands, nice.
In the evening, Annukka and Maria cooked fish soup and hummus.
Wind has calmed down during the evening, and after dinner we saw Mats and Pekka coming with our guests as we expected based on Pekkas call from Eckerö one hour earlier.
The nicest thing: We are going to have Tuomas & Lotta here still this night (they made a quick decision to stay until tomorrow), great! Before going to sleep, we organized sleeping (there is now 12 of us!) . Annukka is still going to guide tourists, but then it's again time to go to bed here in Märket.
