Our new volunteer Antero arrived finally today in Märket after many
difficulties. First he tried to come here on Wednesday and was on the
way in boat, but after 15 minutes drive Mats and Antero had come back to
Eckerö and Antero returned his home near Turku. Weather here in Märket
was so bad (too high waves) that we phoned that it is not possible to
land here.
To day weather was finally so good that it was possible to land here
and Antero could come to drink coffee with us.





It is always very hectic time when Mats boat arrives to Märket. We have
to chance empty water and fuel tanks to the full ones, and we got new
food and many other supplies.





This time we had also carry the heavy buoy, because the anchor chain of
it is broken.





Others left the reef and now here is only two (Antero and
Harri)volunteers keeping the lighthouse warm. First we thought that Pera
wants also to stay here, but unfortunately he only almost missed the
boats departure.






Life goes on at Märket. There is not very much job anymore before
winter, but it is very important to keep lighthouse warm and humidity
low inside it.
