We arrived yesterday evening around eight p.m. driven by Mats. The sun was shining and the waves were huge. Luckily it was blowing from southern side so we were able to land on the northern harbour of Märket without any problem. So here we are: Klas, Mika and Raisa are here for the first time, Heini and Lotta have been here before. Lorenz will stay here for one more week.

We woke up into a rainy Monday morning but the hot porridge warmed us up to this first working day of our new lightkeeper crew. The work started immediately after breakfast. One door was lifted down into the boat shelter where Heini and Lotta started scratching paint out of the profiles. The old layers of paint were scratched to sight before the door will be painted again.

Men were busy all day with plastering the wall and vaultered ceiling of the future kitchen. They made a great progress but there is still lot of work to do. Raisa took care that no one needed to work with empty stomach.

Later afternoon the sun appeared and now we can enjoy a beautiful sunset.
