No woman, no cry. Indeed, no women on this reef right now, only nine men. Six volunteers, two radio amateurs and one "tourist".

This tourist is our champion in selling our magnifisent calendar. Tero sells every year huge amounts of the great lighthouse calendar.

Pera is the only "old" lighthouse keeper here. He and Paavo have done a lot of work here last week which is very easy to see: new toilets and many smaller things that they have organised.

Marcus and Henri are here to fix our power production. They have succeeded well. The wind power turbine must still be repaired. Today Pasi, Ari and Henri took out and down to the yard a small generator that has been unused in the machine room.

It blocks much of the space, so it had to be moved. It is not in work any more. It served the radio amateurs from 1980`s until recent years. The big historical generators from the 1950´s are and will be in place.

The morning was chilly. We found a dead small brown bird. Did it die because of lack food or beacause of the cold?

At noon the sun shined from clear sky and the afternoon was very warm. It was the first sign of the coming summer. We saw even two different kind of butterflies and other insects on Märket. How can they fly here?

Pekka made Swedish meat balls for lunch. He also baked big "Märket buns" to have at least somethingf sweet on the reef!

Of course everybody have also chocolate. It tastes nowhere as good as on Märket when it is a bit cold and maybe rainy outside...

Timo and Pekka H worked the whole day with the antenna that is situated in the old nautofon tower. Unfortenately it was not possible to fix it this time.

In the evening it was time to get the new Märket boat ready and lay it down to the water. The Tohatsu package seemed to work well.

The new boat with 10 hp motor with electric tilt seems to be very suitable for Märket. Thanks to Mr. Eriksson and Oy Erijo Ab in Sibbo! The test drive round the reef went very well.

In the late evening the radio amateurs Pekka H and Timo K started communicating with other radio amateurs around the world. The lighthouse Society and the radio amateur community works really well together.

This crew says now goodbye. New people will arrive tomorrow as we leave at midday. This short visit was very pleasant and useful.
